The Classic Viewpoint Toolbar has been made available by Viewpoint Industries. Viewpoint Industries is responsible for the implementation of several cutting-edge web technologies such as CGI, 3D design, and their My Fotomat photograph management tool, which they have incorporated into their toolbar.

The Classic Viewpoint Toolbar is a small download that works with Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7. It loads quickly and blends seamlessly with the IE browser unobtrusively.

Upon download, the Classic Viewpoint toolbar is installed automatically in IE. The first function on the toolbar is the Viewpoint search field, which is powered by the powerful Yahoo! Search engine. However, once a search query has been performed, the results page doesn’t look like the standard Yahoo! Search engine results page. The Viewpoint Search interface is clean and slick looking and interactive sponsored that are relevant to your search appear at the top. These can be left on or turned off by clicking the close button on the far right.

The My Fotomat button is also prominently displayed. Upon clicking here, you are taken to your own Fotomat photograph library that allows you to manage and share your photos as you wish. There is an interactive video tutorial that you can turn off, if you wish. Importing photos is as simple as browsing to them on your hard drive.  Perhaps the most popular function on the My Fotomat function is the ability to order high-quality cheap prints of your photos directly through the Classic Viewpoint Toolbar interface.

The Bookmarks function on the Classic Viewpoint toolbar is much more intuitive than the supplied bookmarking option available on IE 6 or 7 and allows for a full window to appear under the toolbar that allows great control and organization of your favorite bookmarks.

The supplied Pop-up blocker on the Classic Viewpoint toolbar is a must-have for Internet Explorer users that enables you to dodge all nasty pop-ups that you may come across. After repeated tests, it keeps users secure from even the most tenacious of them.

There is also an Amazon.com hotlink button on the Classic Viewpoint toolbar that enables you to go straight to your Amazon.com homepage. The highlighting function allows you to quickly find search terms by highlighting the words right from the web page you are currently browsing.

For web surfers that use Internet Explorer, the Classic Viewpoint toolbar is a sensible, powerful toolbar that picks up on many of the weaknesses that are presently in Microsoft’s browser. The bundled My Fotomat photo organization and management software is also a handy feature that will keep your photo library organized and available at a mouse click.
