Editorial Review
Ebay fanatics can now breathe easy knowing that they will never again
lose another option because they were not glued to the actual Ebay
site. The Ebay toolbar has been released for Internet Explorer and
comes with features that will allow the most rabid of Ebay buyers and
sellers the flexibility to move about the World Wide Web in peace,
knowing that their stats are listed right in front of their eyes at all
times.
One of the most dominant features of the Ebay toolbar is the ability to
search Ebay directly from the Internet Explorer browser. Currently, the
Ebay toolbar is not available for download and use for Firefox. Simply
enter the keywords for what you are looking for and click the “Search”
button to see matching results. You can further refine your search on
the subsequent pages that open, revealing the more familiar Ebay
landscape.
The Ebay toolbar also allows users to access the large Ebay areas such
as “My Ebay,” “Community,” and “Announcements” with just a single
click. Users can also check up on the auctions listed by their favorite
sellers quickly and easily as well.
One of the most important security features of the Ebay toolbar is the
Account Guard function, which instantly lets users know if they are on
a fraudulent page. With the huge influx of “phishing” sites becoming
more prevalent, this feature alone is probably worth the toolbar
download if you frequent many Ebay auctions.
One of the main reasons that Ebayers will love the Ebay toolbar is its
Alerts feature, which will notify you right on your computer desktop
the status of your auctions, whether you are selling or buying, This
feature will save you the time and hassle of hitting the refresh button
on an auction over and over ad nauseum.
The “buying and selling status” function also allows users to check
their existing auctions on Ebay whether they are buying or selling an
item.
Though the Ebay toolbar is only available for use with Internet
Explorer and not Firefox, its features are robust enough to warrant
die-hard Ebayers and even more casual shoppers and sellers to download
and use it. Installation and customization is a breeze, and the toolbar
doesn’t install any malicious programs such as adware, spyware, or
malware. If you find yourself checking Ebay multiple times a day,
sometimes even to the point where it interferes with your productivity,
then the Ebay toolbar was meant for you.
