Adsense Notifier displays your earnings on the statusbar and updates the stats automatically.
This is a wonderful tool for anyone who needs to check their stats every three seconds to see if they have gotten any more clicks. You can set how often Adsense Notifier checks for the latest stats including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, earnings and RPC (V).
Editorial Review
Adsense Notifier is a Firefox extension that enables Adsense professionals to closely monitor their earnings without having to log in multiple times per day.
Adsense Notifier runs non-obtrusively at the bottom right corner of the Firefox browser and updates every 20 minutes on default, though this can easily be changed from the options panel that is located under the add-ons menu in the Firefox browser.
The default setting for Adsense Notifier displays impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, and earnings for the current day and there is an available option to view RPC. Additionally, the user can opt to view their earnings on content, search, or referrer products or all three.
The Adsense Notifier options page also lets the user choose how the program will react to different mouse clicks. Left, middle, or right-clicking the stats on the bottom right of the browser can all be set to perform the functions of opening Adsense in a new window, a new tab, an unfocused tab, or in the existing window. The default Adsense window can even be changed to show the reports, content, search, or referrer overviews.
Adsense Notifier runs with no perceived problems but it almost begs to be expounded upon. The most notable on my “wish list” for Adsense Notifier would be a way to track a singular, chosen channel. This would enable the user to keep a close eye on a particular page or site that they are currently tweaking for optimum earnings. Unless you are a completely obsessed stat-checker that needs to know your daily earnings every second of the day, then I think you would agree that this function would certainly make better use of this tool than its current configuration. However, it makes me wonder if selecting channels would require too much involvement from the Adsense back-end and would thus be impossible. Perhaps Google itself should take notice of the little tool, realize its potential, and expand upon it.
Other than a lack of configurability, I can find no real hang-ups with the Adsense Notifier toolbar. It runs quietly and out-of-the way just the way a good Firefox extension should and feeds the ego and OCD of compulsive Adsense stat-checkers so that maybe they can get some work done. When using it, I always feel a small tinge of anxiety when others are lurking around my monitor because I typically keep my Adsense earnings to myself and don’t feel the need to broadcast it when I may be having an “off” day, but your mileage may vary. I guess it depends on just how compulsive of a stat checker you are.
